Think he's become a bit comfortable knowing he's our only option on the left, nowhere near the same fire in his game as when he was proving he could play in a Guardiola side. Wan Bissaka is a good defender but apart from beating him once early all Sterling's actions were robotic and predictable. Some very half arsed passing as well
I'm not convinced his performances have dropped recently barring him not contributing directly to goals as often. Although that element obviously could be improved.
He needs to be rested and rotated more. He's played too much football this calendar year and has maybe gotten too comfortable with no competition on the left. Bernardo's played well there in the past - start him there once or twice with Riyad on the right until Sergio comes back, then we can give Gabby a few games on the left.
