The posturing here is on both sides, because of what this deal symbolises.
Hold fast, City.
Confident we'll get it done, GDM?

I'm confident the people running our club know what they're doing.Confident we'll get it done, GDM?

fuck dippers .. 45+5 =50 ...they don't have calculator at candlepool ?
:p
Intuitively it would seem to be in everyone's interest to get this sorted. So it probably will be.
BTW good to see Bluwhit here saying that.
Were better than that mate. Can I just say when we play Liverpool this season, Can we as fans of this club and the players which will hopefully include sterling, please give hell to the Liverpool's fans and players over the 180+ minutes we will play them. The way they have handled their title attempt two years ago and this sterling situation is pathetic. Our atmosphere at etihad should be cranked up a notch for these scumbags.
Has any player actually undergone a process of physically rotting whilst playing in the reserves, as it seems to be received wisdom that this always happens, but I've never read anything about it in the papers.
If we are that dependent on one man, then we are in deep trouble. He is not the messiah. He could also (god forbid) turn out like Torres when he when from them to the ChavsOk, in my opinion it is. Currently the squad isn't capable of challenging on all 4 fronts. Yaya is another year older. We need world class additions and Sterling would improve our first team, with the added bonus of being home grown and young. He also plays in a problem position for us. Pogba will be hard to attain and I have no idea who our second targets are. Hamsik is the only one I've hears and he's not what we need at all.
So please tell me if we miss out on Sterling, who can we realistically sign who's just as good?
FFS. I know you are obviously frustrated but........................Is losing out on a player who will improve our team worth £5 million? No it fucking isn't. I swear if Txiki fucks up this transfer trying to act billy big bollocks I will brick his windows.
Trouble is he's nowhere near a 50 Mill player. Watching highlights of his time at Liverpool yes he's a great dribbler and very quick but often messes up at the final hurdle. Saying that I hope we get him despite the ridiculous fee because I think he's a step up from Navas, however I sincerely hope we have one or two top players in the pipeline to strengthen this aging squad. If we are that dependent on one man, then we are in deep trouble. Sorry mate you are talking like without Sterling we will win fuck all. That's just bolloxWe don't need to worry about that though. Liverpool can manage their own finances. City need to focus on getting in the right players this summer to challenge on all fronts.
Say Sterling does stay all season at Liverpool, where does that leave City? Will we wait for a year and sacrifice winning trophies? Will we spend £30m on a non homegrown player who isn't as good?
This never happened, of course, but on September 1st 2008, if someone had asked me that if in spite of becoming the "richest club in the world" and all the excitement and drama that would inevitably bring, would there be a number of our supporters who were pathologically incapable of enjoying the experience, I would have reflected at some length but ultimately said "yes". I came to realise a considerable time ago that some of our supporters enjoy being miserable far too much. It's become their default mode. Or maybe they're just miserable bastards generally.
It's a shame for you that you don't seem to enjoy supporting the club a great deal. Not sure why you bother tbh.
Isn't there some rule to allow a player to leave for cheap if a club does this though?Has any player actually undergone a process of physically rotting whilst playing in the reserves, as it seems to be received wisdom that this always happens, but I've never read anything about it in the papers.
