Ah, well. If so (and I can't be bothered to go back and read the whole thing) then I apologise - I hate a wum as much as the next blue.
I did only see a little snippet of it, and I dislike it when people on here don't just let people voice their opinion, even if negative - but if he's just wumming then he can do one.
Soz!
I agree with you mate.If we sign him for £45m instead of £50m the posturing that you have been criticising has been very worthwhile.
He's not going so the deal is most likely happening anyway. But he'd be with the Liverpool squad not ours?
It'd be a very uncomfortable and awkward trip for Sterling with Liverpool given the last few months, especially the last week.
Honestly I'd feel a little sorry for Raheem if he has to go on the Liverpool tour, this should have been done way before the pre-season tours.
He's not going so the deal is most likely happening anyway.
I agree with you mate.
But if we continue to posture over players like Pogba and De Bruyne, it won't pay off because someone else will just come in for them or they will stay put. Neither players seems desperate to leave at this point in time.
I do think we will never really know what we end up paying for Sterling to be honest. Be surprised if it was anything other than 'undisclosed'.
Well as an idea, why don't you let us get to a position whereby we know the Sterling deal is definitely off before starting arguments now for the sake of itThat's not my point. Granted I don't think he's worth the money but I see the value in him as a signing given his age and upside.
My point was, we haven't signed him yet because we won't meet their valuation of him. I think long term, Sterling would improve us because he should improve.
However, if we don't sign him, whoever is our back up plan, probably won't be an upgrade on what we've got given we will probably still have to look at another homegrown player
Correct, £42mill for Sterling & £62mill for Pogba. KDB will be £38mill if he decides to come, he's still up in the air I think.Or maybe we'll sign both. And for less than the full asking price, making our posturing worthwhile again.
