Much better than Bale was at that age. What's more he has more skill. Bale is all about pace and physique. Doesn't have a football brain.

Sterling will be way better than Lennon, SWP etc. Along with Suarez he almost won the league for Liverpool.

The work Suarez did off the ball made a lot of the players around him look a lot better
It did, but we have the odd player capable of doing that as well.

He has much more to him than pace.

I see him as a potential replacement for Samir Nasri and lets face it if we pay around the £30-35mill which would be offset with the sale of Samir who we will sell for around £25-30 mill. He is far from the finished article but he would add that pace in the counter attack and will only develop into the world class player he threatens to be at a big club playing alongside world class players like Aguero just like he shown last year with Suarez. He will be our Eden Hazard and offer us around 30 goals a season weather it be in actual goals or assists, this is better than everyone at our club this season apart from Aguero.

Ha. All the best getting someone to pay anywhere near that for Nasri + his big wages and also good luck getting Raheem at that price.

Memphis depay has just gone to Utd for £25 mill and is basically the same player what makes you think Sterling is worth double that?
Most of your lot think he's shite anyway and want him gone.

I can only imagine those claiming Sterling to be 'shit' are the same posters who argued 2 summers back that Neymar was 'shit' and would never amount to anything.

Sterling is absolute class and will only get better.

Would be a colossal signing.

I love how in more than half of these he's outclassing a number of defenders just to pass to one of his dipper teammates and watch them f*ck it up lol

He's had a good season. Not been our best player - Henderson, Coutinho, arguably Sakho and Skrtel have been better.

During the run where we won 11 on the bounce he was our second best player after Gerrard. Suarez and Sturridge dropped off a little bit (particularly towards the end of those 11 games). Suarez and Sturridge were still both outstanding, it was just that Gerrard and Sterling were slightly better.

Then you won't mind too much when we take him off your hands.

Why don't you skulk back to red caf instead of spouting textbook Scouse nonsense on here

Sterling isnt anything like Lennon or Walcott, he has a far more intellegent football brain - rarely loses the ball & he's only going to get better
Have you ever watched Sterling? He gives the ball away with every fifth pass.

He has a pass % rate of 80% this season which is just 6% shy of pass-master Silva's score.

Sterling created 70 chances this season. Only Silva (78) and Navas (77) from our side created more.

That's a fuck lot of chances we could've been getting on the end off.
I like Navas so that stat of 77 chances by a lad who supposedly hasn't got a final ball is good to see.

Must have missed this quality you talk about. Seen a lot of miscontrolled balls bouncing of him though.
You have a point although I think that training every day with the like of Vinny, Sergio and David rather than Henderson, Lambert and Johnson might improve his game somewhat.

Odd thing to say. "Vinny" has been a woeful defender. You've then gone and picked out a midfielder who would have been one of your best players this season and two of our worst players. Could easily say the same about the likes of Mangala and Fernando.

I wouldn't say vinny has been woeful, he has had a shocking midfield(yaya) in front of him all season meaning players are able to run at him freely so he has stepped out of defence to try and intercept the m early which hardly ever works because all the player has to do is sidestep you and he has 3 yards on you to run at goal, so next season with a better midfield next season he will be immense. oh and as for Mangala when he has played city have had above a 70% win rate, when he hasn't we've had just above 30% so judge him as you please but at least get the facts first lad. And for what it's worth I think Hendo is a good player.

That's hilarious, you still think Gerard was good last season! He was no different to this season, I mean he even give us the fuckin league when he fucked up! the only difference was luis making him and your team look better and winning a shit load of pen's for him to score. Take away the pens and all you have is a bang average player being carried cos his legs have gone.

What an indictment on our season that would be if it was close to true.

Not half.

I can't understand people on here not appreciating what Gerrard did last season though. I thought he was fantastic & will never forget him.

You spout some crap.

Sterling is showing his class today. He just slides players like they aren't there. It's amazing how far he's come along and he still so young.

We've been crying out for a penetrative player of his ilk.

Definitely a player that could wreak immense havoc with the likes of Silva and Kun around him because even without world class players he still imposes himself pretty easily.

He's a must get signing imo. Him, de bruyne and merlin switching positions, floating around would be a nightmare for the opposition!

.

Arguing against Sterling giving the ball away once in every 5 passes by pointing out that he completes 80% of of them.....

What's impressed me about Raheem is how well he articulates himself in interviews; he isn't as 'urban' as the media sensationalism would have us believe.

Sterling house has gone on the market so he's offski somewhere?

Edit: media outlets say he's been house hunting in London Arsenal with Walcott going the other way?

Says it all when even big nose Thompson says he is gone this summer pmsl.

Brenda's world will fall apart!
