It sounds like the issue for Raz is game time.

I heard on one of the podcasts that he started 22 games last season. The problem is that he is not getting in ahead of Mahrez, and we have Phil and Grealish jockeying for the left side.

in my opinion it is quite telling that Pep only started him in 22 games. That speaks volumes for his position in the pecking order, and I honestly don’t think it’s going to improve this coming season, especially with the emergence of Palmer.

Sterling started 23 league games, Mahrez started 15. In all competitions Sterling started 32 games, Mahrez started 31.

I think you are going to be surprised just how good Palmer will be. Pep is no, mug!

One thing is for sure, If palmer and grealish play we definitely need cucurella and cancelo to ovelap because these two love to come inside and getting them struck on the byline is a waste of their talents and we can use both our fullbacks to provide width.

No we don't. Until either get a run of games to showcase their obvious talents, it can only be speculative to say it would be a downgrade

If they were that good though they’d have played more last season, I can’t see how any youth player could suddenly go just over summer from one or two sub appearances/carabao cup games to effectively replacing a full international multiple title winner with about 150 goals.

We’ll be weaker without Sterling, unless we replace him with a player of similar quality.

Come on, Sterling is a marmite player but he is also an elite player who has contributed hugely, the other two are highly talented, untested kids.

It’s no surprise his form dropped off a cliff when we had no striker and he was the only one being shoe horned into that position (for a while) even tho Jesus was right there lol.

that's the interesting thing about next season, we have a 9

sterling's issue will be getting Mahrez \ Phil \ Jack out of the team to get a chance to play on either wing, it might be just what he needs but I don't think he will get the chance to show it

I'd have played Raz there over Jesus too but probably better if I make a tactical withdrawl before going any further down that road.....
