The truth is people just single a player out for some poor misses or touches without recognising his true full value to the team. They forgive others even tho their contribution is signifantly less.
Honestly mate - all this stuff about Grealish is just whataboutery IMOWhatever mate, you not answering a simple question, tells me all I need to know about you and your judgements on this forum.
Imagine thinking Pep instructs them to play the same way.

This is the Sterling thread - we can discuss Grealish's performance on the Grealish thread
It is great that you are so positive about Sterling's contribution etc. You express that opinion very clearly
But - other people have a right to hold the opinion that they are glad/not disappointed that Sterling is leaving and they should be allowed to express that clearly as well
You won't find me suggesting that Grealish has been anything other than a major disappointment - and also I am concerned re some of the reported 'attitude' issues and any knock-on impact that might have on other impressionable young playersThat is pretty well said. Worth noticing though, that it is the Grealish fanboys and/or Strerling haters that bring Jack into the conversation, as some stick to beat Sterling with when they run out of shit to pile on him.
Which then descends into said whataboutery as he has been totally filicking invisible for a whole season. It's quite a handy thing, argue Sterling is leaving because he has been replaced with a better player in Jack, but dare you compare the two, then it's hey they are completely different players (which they obviously are).
At the end of the day, Sterling has been fantastic for us overall. And he's made the club a marginal profit on top of that. Grealish has a long long way to go to even begin to match that contribution, however you want to measure it. Wish he does, we'd all be delighted, but that doesn't have to come with belittling Sterling's achievements here.
Fantastic postI'm just thankful it was Gungogan who made the run to the back post instead!
And Gundogan is truly underrated..
In 18-19 with ferna out.. he played DM for us to win us that PL.
In 20-21 with no striker and KDB injured and us struggling for goals.. it was Gungogan who went on a tear during that 15 game winning streak to win us the PL.
In 21-22 Gundo was injured with a bad back but still saved us against Villa to win us the PL.
Gundogan salary 140k a week
Has Sterling made that kind of contribution? Yet he was on 300k a week.
And Sterling wanted more money to extend while he was already getting paid double of what Gundogan gets.
I'll let you decide who's contribution is significantly less but in my humble opinion no wonder City sold Sterling and it would not surprise me if Gundogan gets an extension and maybe a statue!
