Ramadan Ends today, Eid is tomorrow

thanks all, best wishes to all.

at the same time id like to mention that those children driving around in their racers are a bunch of hypocrites.

eid is a day where u celebrate with family and friends, spending time with loved ones in particular - doing the sensible stuff.

these twats, driving around with loud tunes blasting, chasing the honies and taking drugs/drinking alcohol. f**king pathetic if u ask me. Ramadhan is supposed to be a lesson for all muslims. Its a shame these tosspots dont see the meaning of Ramadhan.
At least they aren't raiding the city centre! Don't forget, some people just aren't religious no matter what their background. I'm not religious whatsoever but I celebrate Christmas. I'm not a hypocrite because there was a festival of food, alcohol and merriment from the Winter Solstice for two weeks for thousands of years in Northern Europe before Jesus was even born. And the Romans changed Jesus' birth date to Northern Europe from it's actual date in September to fit in with our Solstice celebrations. So from the Winter Solstice onwards I party, get wrecked, eat, drink and do whatever as a celebrration, and on Christmas day I spend the day with my family having the traditional dinner. Not once do I think of baby Jesus or his mother in that fake story... but I don't consider myself a hypocrite.

Blues lets not lower the tone by turning this into a nit picking religious debate. Lets just wish Eid Mubarak to all our Muslim Blues whereever they are!

Eid Mubarak to Nasri, Dzeko, Kolo Toure, Yaya, Razak and of course the Sheikh and all others.

And thanks to non-Muslim mates and fellow fans for the kind words. :)

I'd bet it's largely the inbred ones from Blackburn, Burnley and beyond getting overexcited at their day out in Manchester. I'll never forget watching a Police documentary that detailed more arrests at Eid celebrations in Rusholme than at the Manchester Derby!

You sir are absolutely right, just need to add in Oldham,Rochdale and Bolton to that list and you're not far off.
As a Manchester born Muslim i can say in my 38 years of celebrating Eid not once have i gone to Rusholme on Eid.

Eid Mubarak to all, I was in Longsight earlier this morning (1am) and the place was alive with people enjoying themselves with their families, making it a tad longer before I could tuck into my chicken kebab.

Sadly a lot of kids go drinking and partying on Eid when its not suppose to be about that. People getting arrested, causing trouble for policemen and drunk driving is not what Eid is suppose to be about. People can get hurt, innocent people. They should be home spending time with their families and visiting the poor and needy, not doing such dumb things. But I guess, its unavoidable to have some irresponsible people. :/

or arab....aren't his parents from algeria or something, could be that...

anyway eid mubarak to all the muslim city fans, and to all non-muslim fans thanks for the kind wishes...I would invite you all over to my house for a typical bosnian eid lunch, but you're all a bit too far away...

I just popped round to my friends house with an Eid card and was asked in to meet his extended family and friends. Over the last couple of years I've gone through a rough time - my divorce after nearly 30 years of marriage came through last week. This guy has been a great help with his advice and great positivity. I feel privileged to know him. His wife's an amazing cook and I was welcomed with open arms and plied with fresh samosas and mint chutney and given a massive dish of about 3 different curries and lamb chops to take home. We need to remember that in all peoples, races and religions there are only a small minority of bad people and not to dwell on the messages the media peddle. To all at our great club who keep the Muslim faith and to all our Muslim friends and colleagues - Eid Mubarak.

Next door are Muslims. They're perfect Neighbours and there's still food in my fridge following the stuff they brought round during their Eid celebrations.
