Apparently the referee disallowed City's late equaliser by blowing up for full time just before the ball hit the back of the net (never seen it myself mind).

correct. city were 2-0 down but pulled one back and were hammering derby. the ref blew for full time as tueart's shot was on its way into the net. the clown had added only 30 seconds injury time even though the derby fans had kept hold of the ball behind the goal for a full 2 minutes as a time wasting exercise. even the media were at a loss to understand why he did this.
 
Part of the roof from Hyde Road was sold to halifax.. and is still in use..

And some of the Bench Seats from the old Platt Lane stand were sed by Flixton FC

(with a number of gardens across Manchester also gaining new furniture)
