Rangnick quits consultancy role (Pg 89)

This is what you need to understand.
He is on a 200 grand a week contract until june 2024
That is his guaranteed wages until then
He will not take a cut on those wages. So unless United pay him off or some other mug printers want to pay that he will stay, unhappy or not.
Why because 200 grand a week for the next 26 months will make him a very wealthy man.
I do not understand why some people cannot grasp it.
He doesn't need to take a cut, someone e.g. Sevilla offered half apparently. So the rags should have cut their losses and paid half as well for 6mths, in which time he could score 10-15 and all of a sudden get people interested in his services next summer. Now Martial is going to sit there earning 200k and contribute nothing.

The lad himself wants to go it seems, hes not doing a Danny Mills here and sat on his arse to collect wages.

We let Dzeko and Tevez go for basically fuck all just to get them shifted off the wage bill and the low fee allowed Roma and Juventus to top up their wages so they didn't take a hit personally.

No.
The lad wants to go to Seville and still earn 200 grand a week.
And he wants to earn 200 grand a week for the next two years after that.
That is what you need to grasp
Martial is offering nada, nothing.

He wants to go and play football, his agent went and got him a deal from a good club and offering half the wages, complete no brainer for any competent football club because hes not doing anything else for the next 6mths except drain 200k a week.

He wants a loan move to put himself in the window for people to believe he still exists, he could go to Sevilla and have a unbelievable 6mths, get himself in the France world cup squad and next year the rags are selling him for a tidy sum.

Instead they will park him on the bench like they have with the other shite like Lingard and Jones and refuse to let them go.

I don't need to grasp anything, wind your neck in.

Well apparently Sevilla wanted him on loan and offered half the wages but rags rejected it. Its just daft, so instead hes going to sit on the bench taking 200k a week and stinking the place out.

Martial is not going to stay as a free transfer is he next summer, he will end up at somewhere like Roma, Inter or something and maybe not 200k a week but it will be a good 10m or so in signing on fees and 100k+
Thing is they're used to clubs like Sunderland buying their cast offs for inflated prices (See Brown, O'Shit etc)

Trouble is, when the players you want are shite, no one gets deluded into thinking your reserves are any good.

Also, all the "fledglings" have been found out to be shite at managing.

I agree but tbf it does seem like that clubs are interested in some of the dross e.g. Lingard and Martial. They just refuse to do any sort of deals for them. Instead give them a longer contract...

People criticize Txiki and signings like Rodwell, Garcia, Nolito and so on but we moved them on when required. The rags would still have kept them.

I think its some sort of weird obsession with still believing they are the in the 2000's when they did what they wanted and everyone bowed down. If they took a hit and dealt with West Ham for Lingard and paid him 10m to fuck off they probably think it goes against their beliefs and its beneath them.Instead they would free up a squad space, have less nonsense on the training ground and could put the funds towards more stupidly overpriced crap in the next window.

Have the rags finished off paying David Moyes's monthly salary yet?

No idea.
I was trying to make a simple point that some people talking about getting rid of players just don't understand.
Players on long contracts do no take pay cuts to move.
They either reach the end of a contract or move for similar or better contracts.
Unless they are past it.
It is frustrating when posters actually think teams can just get rid of players easily.

Godfather of German Football.

Course he is.

Looking at the speccy **** I wouldn't let him be the Godfather of the illegitimate child I fathered with that fat bird from Gorton.
Bloody hell - I've been looking for you mate - she's been getting maintenance off me for 3 years, and I never bloody touched her!

They never learn though, do they?

They are paying Ronaldo a stupid salary until he's 38 or 39. They won't be able to get him off the books and the chances of him being a game-changer in that shit side at his age are remote.

They did it, at least in part, to 'get one over' on City, as they did with Sanchez and McGuire. But they don't seem to grasp that City put a realistic valuation on what a player is worth and won't go above it.

So time and again they end up paying excessive salaries to players who are not worth it. They must be the biggest mugs in the game, and for agents like a lottery ticket that always pays out.

Best example of this is the keeper, the best paid in the world, who has let in 25 league goals in half a season.how embarrassing.

The new manager blames Covid, but I doubt that.. he hasn't caught anything else this season.

Best example of this was the near post incident when Bernardo scored during The Greatest show on Earth.

Comical and highly entertaining.
Come on mate the poor lad has Slabbo, Burger king, Wank-Bissaka and the French Tyrone Mings in front of him, he's done well not to concede 50.

And who can blame him

Bet ragnick will want out of there asap as the squad is toxic and full of overpaid egos .

Some might say that the third European competition has been engineered as a precaution in case the rags should stumble out of the Europa League spots.
After all they need to keep the lovely euro cash rolling in, especially as the ESL didn't come to pass...

I thought Ragnick was meant to be some sort of tactical revolutionary. He’s play 4-4 fing-2 with two old target men against wait a minute… the connoisseurs of the 4-4-3 long ball, Burnley.

Norwich, Newcastle and Burnley. It's going well - only 2 points dropped. Good start Ralph - you dealt well with your baptism of fire.

Mind you, they have looked fuckin' shit.
