    X England player died today aged 83.I remember watching him play for Huddersfield v City before he moved to Everton.

    He retired just as I became interested in football, so I don’t ever remember him as a player, though of course, he is synonymous with England's World Cup win in 1966.

    For that achievement, he will forever be renowned.
