Lewis only player to have a good 90 minutes. Foden, Ake and Doku all very good in second

Lewis for me. Only player who I thought was on it in the 1st half and then slotted into midfield easily in the 2nd half and played some great passes. Doku and Alvarez great when they came on.

Rico Lewis was absolutely brilliant , he never gave a ball away and was always positive , tenacious and never say die attitude , he is going to be a star.

Ake for me. I'll rarely pick a sub but we were so shoddy without him and he didn't put a foot wrong. Incredibly difficult to steady a shaking defence but he did it and I hope he's rewarded with a start at the weekend.

As soon as Ake came on at left centre back order was resumed.

It was hard work but in cup football its all about winning......we've won the group now so the third string can play tha next game....job done. CTID
