Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to predict what would have happened in the event that:

"It's finished at Sunderland, Manchester united have done all they can. Manchester City are still alive here; Balotelli, Aguero...., oh, stunning save by Kenny, was that the final chance?"

I will start you off with two predictions

1) A helpless seat in the South Stand would have fallen victim to severe scarf whipping

2) Bluemoon readers would have missed out on a 101 page thread regarding the word 'Stupendous'

The Sheik would have sold up, all the players would have left, we'd have had 4 succssesive relegations, be in the Vanarama North and the crowd would be down to 24 000. 'Arrie would be our manager, spouting epithets about sleeping Giants, lovely families, once in a life time opportunities and cracking supporters. Everyone would have us as their second team and rival supporters wouldn't ask us where we were when we were shit and I'd have still been hammering on about DeJong passing to Sergio and not to Silva, who was in acres of space!

Heh, at the time I was thinking, "fucking wankers the lot of 'em, over 30 years supporting these cunts and they always let you down and it'll never change, we've got billions, the best players, the titles put on a plate after going 1-0 up and you fucking let those twats fuck you over on a world stage, well, you can fuck off i've had enough of this shit, i'm not wasting my time any longer, there's more to life than football, whats an equilizer at this point its just dragging out the pain, every tv show and newspaper will be taking the piss for months, and that obnoxious rag I know who said he's going to piss his sides when we get beat today will rub it in like fuck, now fuck off I don't want to die young. Fuck off. FUCK. OFF. JUST. FUCK. OFF."

And that would have come to pass if it were not for the most amazing few seconds ever witnessed in football. It gave me a slap, never mind the joy and happiness, and I fell in love all over again. :)

"..THEY'VE DONE IT, OMG THEY'VE DONE IT, THEY'VE FUCKING DONE IT"!

To be honest I'm just glad you didn't end your scenario with 'Aguero, he's round the defender, no, he's tripped, penalty, it's a penalty in the 93rd minute...'

Because quite frankly I don't think my heart would have been able to cope with that minute or so before Mario ambled up to roll the ball one way or another.

Guardiola would have become our manager that summer and we would be Champions of Europe and the dominant force in English football.

Wow yeh! All of our trust on Mario's shoulders in that moment.

I would of just added it to the list of times ive felt excruciating pain and sorrow when following city, then got pissed.

GPC Would have announced his retirement proclaiming he could finish without City usurping him. Absolutely nothing to do with shitting another sixswan from us getting Pep.
Pep would have won the league in 13/14/15
We'd have made the CL semis twice and won a final
We'd have a new manager this season

Oh wow. Never missed a pen..

Even if he has scored, would he have even celebrated?!
He probably would have performed a pantomime yawn.

If that is true, and I've no reason to believe it isn't,would we have a new manager in place this season then I wonder ?
I wonder that as well. Imagine getting Pellegrini after Pep.

But I often wonder how much politics played a part in Pep's time at Barca and Bayern. Both can owned clubs run by committee with everyone looking to their own profile and agenda and him catching the fall out.

It won't be a problem here so I wonder if he'll last a bit longer

I'm hoping he will do at least 5 with us to be honest
