Real Madrid gave everything, put everything out there, closed the roof for 'atmosphere', allowed Bellingham to act like a **** for 90mins and they couldn't best us.

Best referee we've had all season.

Let's make the Etihad a fucking nightmare for them next week, just like last year. Get the bus welcome sorted.

Well done to the lads for getting something out of probably one of the most hostile atmospheres and clogging teams we have ever faced.

We had three absolutely brilliant goals. Real Deflection rode their luck throughout the match. We weren’t even at our best.

P.S. Foden continues to live the dream. Hope it was just a knock so he can ram a hat trick down those cheating pricks’ throats in the return leg.

As I said in the match thread, Bellingham can act the model schoolboy off the pitch all he likes, how anyone can watch him on the pitch and not think the hype and protection he gets in La Liga has gone to his head is beyond understanding.

The referee was ok except for the fact that he was very obviously under instructions that no matter what happens short of a murder on the pitch was he to give Bellingham a yellow. Can’t have the holy cry baby missing the second leg.
