Real Madrid (A) Post Match Thread

Proud of the boys for what they have achieved. We cannot slag them for what happened, they tired everything. This is Real Madrid and not any team, they know how to win!

The nerves got to them and I cannot blame them. We will try again next year. We need more time to win the Champions League and we will eventually win it.

I just want to win the PL this year whatever happens cause that's more important for me. Winning more and more PLs will help us build the confidence to believe that we can win the CL.

We just need more time

We can dress this up how we like. But it was a fuck up and pep has to take the blame as much as the players.

but i think whats fucked us most is recruitment, which has been appalling, and peps lack of trust in youth to spare our first teamers .

i honestly think now that it needs looking at from top to bottom.
5 out of 5 champs league fuck ups.

One year we will win and it will be glorious. Until then I will forever be depressed.

Take a bow, Bernie. You didn't deserve that. Courtois sensational.
I want to cry. I want to fucking cry. I still can’t believe it. I know this is ,’Typical City’ but fuck me

Our finishing 11 was dire. Grealish and Sterling were appalling and added nothing.

Absolute fuckin joke, I'm the biggest happy clapper but that is inexcusable.

Late soft penalties in both ties ( both scored btw) fuckin suicide job.

The Team on at the end was never gonna see it out, appalling game management.

De Bruyne and Rodri were taken of ffs.

Shit finishing at 2-0 up at home with Mahrez and Foden’s shit efforts which should have out the tie to bed there and then.

Shit game managements at the end of the game tonight where we should have seen the game out.

We said to Madrid, “go on then…” and we laid it on a plate for them through poor finishing and poor mentality.
Beg to disagree, but right now I can't come up with a valid, competent argument otherwise. Fuuucccckkkkkk

I wonder how it will impact us mentally for the rest of the season. Hopefully it will galvanise us to ensure we don’t drop any more points…but it could go the other way….

It would be a travesty if we don’t win anything this season.
I disagree it won’t be a travesty at all. Poor finishing is the story of our season, if we had Kane we would have battered Liveepool at home and the league would be done. Instead we decided to go without a striker and now we are paying the price whilst Liverpool strengthened in January we weakened our small squad further. Absolute madness

Guardiola bottled again, i think it doesnt calm the team when they need that, i think he most teach his players how to waste time, break the rithm

This result has been a long time coming.

You cannot waste the chances we do and expect to win the biggest games. This tie should have been buried in the first leg. We should have bagged another after Mahrez’s goal tonight.

Every big game we’ve played this season has been in a similar manner. Even the ones we have won, we’ve been extremely wasteful.
100% correct.

Need a reality check here - it’s a cup game and often the best team doesn’t win - some teams are cup teams some not so much - but there has been consistent refereeing bias over the past few years and when that happens you get far less of a chance - we made a lot of chances and they just didn’t go in - real got lucky- oils have been down to ten with a proper ref but no - could have had a couple more tonight and four last week and sadly we didn’t get the rub - still love city and we need to cheer and support on Sunday

With the experience we had on the pitch it was a shock when we completely bottled it and capitulated.
I thought we were better than that.
