Doesn’t matter how many times they get tested it can take upto 14 days for it show, but you just know uefa will allow it go ahead, following week a City player tests positive and we are kicked out the rest of the tournament

I thought the protocol since the restart has just been to pull anyone who tests positive out of the squad, as with any other "injury"? The game is still 10 days away so they'll have a clearer idea of how many others (if any) have caught it in the next few days. Can't see UEFA giving us a bye. But shows the importance of the players being ultra-cautious in this downtime between the league ending and the CL.

How many days after the moment you contract the virus does it take for a swab test to actually produce a positive result?

Nobody can say with confidence that their squad and staff has no other cases of covid, irrespective of any negative test results.

Some even have a viral load that inconsistently tests positive, but still can provide an infectious dose to someone else. Hella risky.

Even if they come, they can’t play the following games because they have to isolate so I don’t see any other solution than them forfeiting the tie. It means that UEFA can give us an asterisk when we win it so they’ll take that.
There are exemptions for sporting events. They don’t need to quarantine themselves for 2 weeks.
