REAL MADRID will be ready to tempt Carlos Tevez this summer if the Argentinian can't agree a new deal with Manchester City.
And Inter Milan will also be ready to move in for the 26-year-old forward.
Though Tevez joined City only last summer from Manchester United, his advisors believe he has not maximized his earning potential.
Tevez's controversial move from United was worth over £47million to management company MSI and gave the player a five-year deal worth £130,000 a week.
But I understand Tevez believes he should be entitled to at least the £160,000 paid to City flop Robinho.
And he knows his Argentina team-mate Lionel Messi is in on approaching £30m a year at Barcelona.
On the basis he can be a major force alongside Messi at the World Cup, Tevez is ready to press to become English football's top earner.
He knows he could top £200,000 a week at Madrid or go close to that at Inter, where he might have gone last summer.
Madrid have lost the 'wow' factor to rivals Barca this season, especially in the Champions league.
They want a new star to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo - as Tevez did at United.
Wayne Rooney is high on their wish list.
Rooney, though, is likely to seek an improvement in his deal at United rather than move to Spain.
That would leave Tevez as Real's main target at a fee of at least £60m.
