Real Madrid Vs Manchester City Post Match Thread

Absolutely gutted thought we were going to win, I think our defensive needs working on, no one is comfortable with the ball distribution was bad, yes we scored 2 against the run of play, but I think tactically it was wrong from the start. Dzeko for me should now be starting ahead of Balotelli in the pecking order, I love the guy and his work ethic. Tevez ran his socks off just unfortunately it was Ronaldo.

It's been this way all season.

Shame about our midfield though. Silva, Nasri, and Yaya provide the beautiful football that we are known for -- but Yaya cannot do it on his own. Without that necessary control Tevez was forced to play more as a midfielder which disrupted the fluidity of our attacks. Tevez was still immense though. As were Yaya and Dzeko. Oh and I still love Zabaleta.

Joe hart <3 real emotion

I'm with you Rach. I love to see him react like that. I know that sounds strange but it shows just how much he cares.

Did we really expect anything from this game? We made them sweat & work to win at home. This was a step up in our progress.

SICK OF ZABALETA GETTING SKINNED ALL THE TIME

this. maicon had the best of ladyboy after the first twenty minutes, and he was getting frustrated and even switched sides to try and get on something. so then he brought zabba on, and ladyboys xmases all came at once.
bad substitution.

Rubbish. Maicon was beyond shit tonight.

Have to agree,Maicon wasn't up to it at all

Can only feel good about what i just saw, we expected to lose deep down and we did but i didn't expect us to be so close to winning. Great entertainment and on another day we would of won? Shows how far we have come when we are playing in games like that and could of come on either side of the scoreline.

One thing sticks out and that was Barry is far too slow for this level of football, Maicon was knackered and i don't think Kompany had the best of games.

Still a long way to go but i'm confident we can get 10 points after playing shite at the Bernabeu and nearly winning.

All is not lost but we were lucky it wasnt cricket score

We should have held on after 2-1

Oh well , hope we play better at home

Either way its gonna be really hard we have the most difficult group[/quote

Cannot believe nobody has picked up on Kompanys AWFUL start to the season....he is not the same Vincent.....why did he duck out of the way for the third goal?

Did you see Mourinho's over-the-top celebration on the third goal? Pathetic behaviour from a manager in my view. Just shows how much he relished this win and how much they really feared us. Also, didn't he just leave the pitch the instant the final whistle blew? I've lost all respect for the man.
He's in lots of pressure, the celebration was annoying because it was against us. I didn't mind when he did that shit in Nou Camp as Inter Milan coach.

You may be right that it just felt more annoying because it was against us. But that was a finale-winning celebration. Just goes to show how desperate they were for a win. He is a pathetically self-centered man, though. No respect for the opponents or their manager. Shown by how he just went straight for the tunnel the instant the whistle went.

Both were shit, but Ronaldo should have been doubled up on. It goes without saying as he is always looking to cut in. How this wasn't picked up by the management is beyond me? Even after the first 20mins when we could have been 3-0 down we still didnt double up on him. Baffling
