I'll give you Simian Mobile Disco. As for the rest, how long have you got?

Lo Fidellity Allstars
Lamb
The Beta Band
Shack
The Boo Radleys
Flowered Up
Mogwai
Los Campesinos
The Go! Team
Steve Mason (album of the year up to now for me)
Joy Orbison

I suppose Puressence are well known in these parts but I still think they are one of the most underrated bands in the country so I'm sure there are loads who haven't head of them.

I'll be back with more soon.

saw Puressence do a live set in South nightclub last year(it was the same day of the last match of the season vs Bolton)
Very good they were

Mate, they are the unluckiest band on the planet, they've missed out on every major scene and their faces have never fit, but they are brilliant and exceptional live.

Their first album is up there with the best debuts but rarely gets mentioned in the all time best. If anyone hasn't heard it, I'd thoroughly recommend it and if you've never heard anything by them, listen to "Casting Lazy Shadows" or "This Feeling" to ease you in.

I can second Lamb and Mogwai.

Mogwai - New paths to helicon Pt 2 is outstanding.
