OK saying its the worst thing isn't exactly accurate, but it would put us in a position that I don't think our current squad can handle.

Too many games and with our luck with injuries I don't think we could manage to come through unscathed.

Feel free to prove me wrong tho City :)
 
Fixture pile up

Not sure if there's already been authored on this, so mods please merge if so.

We've somehow got to fit in home games against Sunderland and Villa, and if we manage to beat Wigan, then the Liverpool away game as well.

There are only 7 midweeks left to the end of the season, and 5 of those are Champions League weeks, so top flight clubs can't play league games on those dates.

That leaves tues/wed 15/16 April and tues/wed 6/7 May to shoehorn in potentially 3 league games.

I'm pretty sure we won't be allowed to play after the final game on 11th May, so anyone have any ideas?

the west ham game is fine, although you presumably meant the aston villa game?

I am assuming we will find something out about these fixtures after the FA Cup game on Sunday.

Will know more after Barca because should we get knocked out it allows us to play on a Monday of a champs league week and at least opens up a few weeks. Guessing Friday games are off... But yeah it is a tricky one isn't it! So many games to fit in and if we beat Barca it will be ridiculous!

Just looked at the schedule and I would assume that as we play Liverpool away or FA Cup semi on Sat or Sun 12/13April and then don't play WBA until 21st April (monday) we will play almost for certain on the midweek (15th/16th April) and then possibly play Saturday 19th and Monday 21st. Another option is to play 6th/7th May between Everton away and the last game of the season.

Other than that we are struggling. Champions League impacts in that should we qualify it rules out less weeks in which to fit games in. If we are knocked out we could play Saturday lunchtime and Monday night of a champs week. Possibly the 7th April following Saints on the 5th April at home. That seems logical as the saints game would be after a week break previously. All dependent on Champions League qualification and of course the impact of another game postponed if we get to the FA Cup semi finals.

Don't go there......draw this and get through vs Barca and god knows how we schedule the various games !

One game before lunch and one after at this rate.

Well we know for sure we'll be playing Liverpool on the 13th April now. I'm guessing we'll probably play one of Sunderland/Villa on the 16th April with the other game on the 6th/7th May?

Unless I'm mistaken then after the Liverpool game we'll have 6 games to play:

Away -
Palace
Everton

Home -
West Brom
West Ham
Sunderland
Villa

That's a fairly kind finish to the season really, no doubt the key stage of our season is when we play the rags, Arsenal and Liverpool away in the space of 4 games.
 
When do Sky/BT announce the final raft of televised fixtures? I cant see how the games can be re-arranged until we know when we will be playing on Saturday, Sunday or Monday for the telly.

They've announced them all to the end of April, there's only the Everton away fixture on 3rd May that could be moved.
