2) We smashed the British transfer record to sign Robinho, a world class footballer

3) We're going to spend in January when most clubs can't afford to

4) We've been seriously linked with Buffon, Kaka, Villa, Owen and other world class players. Whether we get them or not is another matter, but the fact that City have been seriously linked with this calibre of player is reason enough to be cheerful

5) We're in the Premier League, something I only dreamed of when I used to have my season ticket at Maine Road

6) We won the UEFA cup group and have a relatively easy draw in the next round

7) Our mega rich owners want to make us one of the world's most successful clubs, and money talks

8) It's Christmas Eve Eve

9) It's nearly January

10) Did I mention we're loaded?

Saw today on the Daily Mail site that Robinho has bought a house in Alderley Edge.

So hopefully he still sees his future here.
