Recommend a mobile phone

50 quid a fucking month? Just so you can ring a few people and text your Mum?

The world has gone mad.

£50 a month for a mobile. Madness.

I have O2 Friends and Family PAYG for £7 and get free phone calls and free texts to 5 numbers. So there's my missus, Dad and 3 of my more contacted mates. They are the only people who I ring for any length of time, everything else is covered by credit.

You lot must be organising balls at Versaille every month or something

Re: Recommend a mobile phone

I've worked for both EE and Three as a part time sales job. Obviously you'll have your own budget to consider too.
The best phone on the market in terms of specs would have to be the Galaxy Note 4, but it is extremely large for a handset. As previously mentioned the LG G3 is a great phone too, and the screen is almost the same size as the Note 4 but doesn't look or feel that way in the hand because they have moved the volume control and power buttons to the back instead of being on the sides of the phone.

HTC One M8 is another great handset, designwise it looks brilliant and has some good features too, but the camera isn't all that great compared to other models IMO.

Samsung S5 is an alternative to the Note and a bit more stylish whilst still retaining a lot of processing power, however the 6 is likely to be announced in the not too distant future.

What I would say primarily though is get a phone that runs on Android and steer well clear of Windows phones. Now Nokia has been dropped as the brand they're improving but aren't anywhere near the same level yet. I personally would never get an iPhone, just because I think they're boring and very restrictive unless you can be bothered to jailbreak it. No doubting that they're good reliable handsets, but I think they're incredibly bland.
Android is the best OS and I'd recommend downloading Mobdro on any Android device for free live streaming of all Sky channels and BT sport. Also Showbox if you want to stream movies and TV to your phone.

Hope this is helpful

£5 a month for me, 100mins call time, (if I use 10 mins it'd be an exception) 300 texts, which more than covers all the jokes, which accounts for 80% of texting, plus around an hour, I think, for internet shite, which I always use the laptop for anyway.
The wife, who never fucking shuts up, pays £10 monthly, for more than double the features I get.
Why anyone pays 50 quid a month is beyond me.
