Recommend me a decent new estate car

The Mazda 6 tourer is the best value for your money. Comes fully loaded with sat nav and parking assist. And does 64mpg! It also looks the business.

I'm driving a hire car in France ATM it's an Opel Insignia (Vauxhall) estate. It's a very good car, diesel, all the bits including a large touch screen to manage the whole thing

Worth a look
Off topic but where in France are you and is it nice?. I'm in Tregastel in Brittany and it's lovely.

I'm in Cannes on the Riviera

Why not go for a Skoda Superb instead of the Octavia.
Not much difference in price, but far bigger boot space etc.
I'm on my 2nd Superb in 9 years,good enough for the taxi-ing.
Currently on 170,000 miles, got it in May 2010,passed the taxi test on Monday,no probs.
Worth a look mate.
