Barnoldswick? They are a funny bunch up that way. Used to play football there and not on my list of places to go back.

Well, it's not quite Barnoldswick, it's more Foulridge - Cargo Cafe! But the centre of Barnoldswick is rather 'naice'.

If you go to Tod you can visit the Rochdale canal at the same time.

Result.

And if yer start at Tod yer can ride down the canal and get to the Velodrome and The Etihad. See how I keep travelling costs down?

The South Downs. Especially the Amberley Valley.
North Yorkshire Moors.
Dartmoor. The prison and surrounding areas are quite stunning. See also Exmoor. Especially nearer the coast.
Dove Dale. Beautiful place. As is most of the Peak District. Also see the Amber valley.
The New Forest and the area around Swanage, Brownsea Island, Corfe Castle.
Any Cathedral city such as Bath, Chichester, York, Durham etc etc.
St Ives. Watch out for the gulls.
Camden. Mainly around the market, canals. Nice for a Sunday bimble.
Peckforton Hills. On a clear day the views are magnificent. Chester, Liverpool, Manchester etc etc...
The Cotswolds. Try the Broadway Tower for a view that seems to go on for ever. The usual tourist places of Moreton in Marsh, Bourton...try Chipping Camden for somewhere slightly less busy with tourists. The Noel Arms is the place to stay, with curry on the breakfast menu.

Yes went last year - pissed it down and i spent all day getting pissed with Fishermen who weren't working. Great day.
