Maybe just because first game of the season is in Brighton, The Royal Pavilion is worth a mention and when you're down there, Arundel Castle and the town itself is worth a visit

Agreed; took my kids (9 and 11 then) down there a few years back and we loved it. RP was really interesting and we had fun on the beach and the pier and just walking around town. Helped that it was 27 C without a cloud though!

Bacup
Cowpe
Radcliffe
Dickey Bird Estate, Bury
St.Helens
Kirkby

After that, your life will seem so much better!
I see what you did there, you put Radcliffe in as an example of a great place so the others have something to be measured against :-)

Long Melford in Suffolk and make a visit to Lavenham just a short distance away. Infact the Suffolk/Essex border is incredible.
