I was fortunate to walk amongst the stones many years ago when I was a young lad pity you can't nowadays
 
Maybe just because first game of the season is in Brighton, The Royal Pavilion is worth a mention and when you're down there, Arundel Castle and the town itself is worth a visit
 
I've been to very few of the places mentioned and not heard of many of them either.
I must get out more
 
Lavenham. Much of it is unchanged from the medieval period.
Bury St Edmunds.
Cambridge.
The George at Stamford.
Holt/ Blakeney Point for the seal boat rides.
Southwold. Lovely to look at.

6/ 7 Good places in the east of the country.


Adding in Bosham. Tiny old fishing village where Canute was supposed to have failed to turn back the tide.

And Mevagissey. As above but without Canute.
