Its Guinness time any day of the week.
I`ve been with the RAC for donkeys but with now paying more than £50 p/m I`m reluctant to change over, as to be fair whenever I`ve needed them (which is seldom) they have always been pretty quick in getting out.
I have Home Recovery,Take Anywhere (UK), and also the rest of the Family are covered should they break down in someone elses vehicle.
Whats your experience of the AA and Green Flag and what do you pay per month.
Recommendations gratefully received please.
Cheers,
Oakie

It might be worth checking to see if you get breakdown cover with your bank account. You normally get breakdown cover, mobile insurance and travel insurance in as well. I've used it a few times and couldn't fault them.

We had Green Flag with ours for a few years and they were absolutely brilliant. Over the years I've had AA, RAC and GF and GF were easily the best. They come out very quickly and I've never been ripped off by them. As I said, ours is with the bank account so not sure on the cost but I would recommend them.

My experience with RAC was pretty awful. 7 hours it took then to get to me. Luckily I broke down at work and not on the hard shoulder of the motorway.

72 year old mother in law was told 4 hours when she had a flat tyre whilst out.
Had a recommendation from a work mate and we've gone with a company called Emergency Assist Ltd. £58 for the year to cover mine and my wife's cars.

Not had to use them yet so can't comment on whether they're reliable or not but the RAC were shite.
