I'm just feeling my way around this subject but I think the problem you describe is called 'skid' and it's adjustable.

Have you moved the speaker?Can anyone help me please? Same thing happening except hum only when needle is in contact with vinyl, not constant.
One mate told me the turntable was too close to one of the speakers and it was a form of feedback?

Bit awkward to do that but not impossible. Wired up under the floor. But good point, I'd only thought of moving the deck but that would mean shifting all the amps and that wiring is also concealed. I'll try turning speaker away from deck and move it around to see what effect it has. Thanks.Have you moved the speaker?

In the sense of the tiny wires pinched onto the cartridge from the arm?Also check the needle connection mate.
