There's probably been a thread before but I couldn't find it. Where are all the good record shops besides the city centre? Sifters and KIng Bee are good for second hand and we've also got a couple of shops in Macclesfield also selling second hand.

Noticed in the paper today (by chance, I got my free evening news following a trip to Piccadilly Records) and read about this place:

Has anyone been and is it any good ? New or second hand? Also popped into this one the other day (I get about a bit)

    Any others within resonable distance?

Used to be a belter in Withington called Pop Art and before that there was the paradise known as Clampdown Records in the old Corn Exchange.

On the subject of Kingbee, I bought my first ever vinyl singles in there.

Was just going to ask about Fopp......
Returned back to the States Wednesday afternoon so in the morning made my usual visit to Fopp to stock up on the 2 for a fiver books that keep me going until the next visit. Got there at 10.30am and the place was all closed up, said it opened at 10am. The door way reaked of piss. Another bloke came up at the same time and wondered as I did if the place was just late opening or closed for good. The shop was all stocked up.
Ended up going to HMV in the Arndale and bought Peter Hook's New Order book and Sex Pistols' Steve Jones's book for a fiver.
