UAE economy less than 50% from oil. Massive investment in agriculture, property, sport, tourism etc etc.Another thing you don't hear much about is that the UAE is a world leader in renewable energy and our owner is involved in developing the world's biggest solar power plant. The oil may be running short but I am sure it will not impact much on Sheikh Mansour and his booming £100bn investment portfolio. These stories just don't fit the established narrative for the UK media.

2GW plant is to be developed by a multinational consortium and should start producing power within two yearswww.forbes.com
Hi FergieOr, not in my lifetime.
The front one is Cheshire and the back one is Lancashire. How big's your fucking garden?

Hopefully most of it stays in the ground and the world stops using it for power and we start to revolutionise where we get our power from.Just as a note on the Oil running out nonsense. Countries in the Middle East have +80 years worth of reserve (nearly 50% of the planets oil) and that is based on extracting oil 24/7 365 days a year and producing 30 million barrels a day. Mind boggling really.
