I'm proud of City tonight, they didn't get turned over like everyone expected, They took the game to Barcelona. 2-1 not a disgrace plus denied a clear cut penalty. (Again).

However I'm so angry with the way Sky Sports commentated on the game. It was typical NEGATIVITY that they always make, but with the likes of Neville, Carragher and Saggy Faces arse basturd son Jamie what chance do City have.

how does that differ from the country egging on the national side? I've been reliably informed that the common consensus on this forum is that respecting the English aspect of football clubs in this country is a sign of someone being a member of the EDL/UKIP, and that it doesn't matter if something is English or not. Given that outlook, why should every **** and his dog egg on the English club when its irrelevant?

Its nothing to do with the media, more to do with the general anti-England sentiment that floods through every segment of this country. The more failures that occur to English entities, the better.

I am of course yet to see these English people who slag off the English, slag off the likes of Aguero/Dzeko/Kompany etc putting their country above their club, apparently that is "natural" and "to be expected", and whilst you can go into an England thread and see many "fuck the English national team", you wont see that in a thread on the Belgians or the Serbians. Make of that what you will.

Why do people always cry when someone mentions how much money we have spent? They are right we have spent a shit load of money building our squad. And what's becoming more clear especially with the CB problem is not all of it has been spent wisely.

Agree with this, though the centre back prob will be sorted in summer with more money spent. It is odd though that people get so upset about pundits stating how much we've spent. Bottom line is you can't do what we have done and not have those comments being made. It's just the way it is. I wouldn't mind if it was a lie, it's not though. We have spent shit loads of money. It shouldn't be a problem when they comment on that.

You are an intelligent man and usually see things without blue goggles on. There is a stark contrast between how United have spent money to be who they are in the eyes of others, and how we have spent money. We will never be viewed in the same way where that is concerned. They don't refer to what we have spent at any given pre-season/Jan window, it's a collective of what we have spent to put us where we are from where we came from. If another club strikes gold like us and does the same thing, and if this time in 6 years that club has just gone out to Barca, they will speak of that club in the same way as they did us last night. We will probably be less spoke of in that sense by that time, like Chelsea are now.
