I know Chelsea had a pretty strong interest in Hakimi, who plays rightback or wingback. And Tuchel has played James on the right of a back three. So maybe that suggests Tuchel doesn't see James as a desirable option at wingback, and James doesn't fancy playing as a central defender

I think he just wants a better contract. New deal before the summer is out I’d guess.
