The best referee we have had in the knockout stages of the CL. Not because he gave us everything or favoured us in decisions but because he seemed fair throughout. We City fans aren’t wanting or expecting a referee to give us everything, we just want a level playing field in these games and tonight we got it.

UEFA will sack him tomorrow.
