Sure mate, there are going to be instances where they can't dispute it, but I still don't think it'll even things out, but as an example from yesterday of how it can still be manipulated, there was an incident where Sterling got past Young (the one where he was all over his back), it was a clear foul, however, if you look closely, beforehand, Sterling has his hand on Youngs' back and momentarily takes hold of his shirt, it in no way shape or form impedes Young, but if that was reviewed under VAR and you want to manipulate the game, Atkinson will point to the most minor of indiscretions beforehand to justify why it is a foul to the rags, making the later challenge irrelevant, with us, he'd have taken the view the first contact was so slight it was not a foul.Still mate, it has to benefit us. As much as we will still get the odd head scratcher it will indisputably get us more decisions our way, it can’t not do.
As I posted in another thread, I didn't get carried away with being 2-0 at half time as I'd noticed Atkinson employing these tactics virtually all of the first half, something very fishy with the way he officiated yesterday.
