To be fair to Atkinson he doesn't give any team anything. He could have sent Fernandinho (and Young) off yesterday together but didn't. It can lead to brutal games though.
What interests me though is would the Aguero penalty have been given by VAR? It should have been, but would the refeferal system allow it to be?

Did Pep comment on the big decisions that weren't given out of interest?
He never does and that is a massive part of the problem in my opinion. We just seem to accept it and move on. Other managers like Jose/fergie make/made a massive fuss about bad decisions going against them, then the next time there's a 50/50 chance of a pen or red card for example 9 times out of 10 they get it. We just accept bad decisions and roll over, show some bollocks City

came with a job to do, started well at 0-0 but then we scored 2 and he had very little ability to influence, then we capitulated and he came into his own and got his job done in the end, with our help.

After Chelsea 3-1 last season and Wigan I would have thought we'd have learnt to be ruthless because we know what the refs will do if we aren't, and we fell for it hook, line and sinker again yesterday and showed the same immaturity. Pep really needs to sit down with the squad and reflect on this and get the whole squad to understand it and develop a strong mentality to overcome it.

Not had the stomach to watch it back yet so can anyone tell me the challenge on sterling first half when he's clean through and blazes over the bar I thought the defender went right through the back of him and was screaming for a penalty? Was it?

No, ball gets played over from Sane, Young slips over and hits his hand. If it was our end I bet he would have given it.

I'm not sure about the longer press conference but in the aftermath interview he said he didn't see the penalty calls.

He saw them alright. Just didn't want to get in any trouble so said he was told about the penalty decisions.

Whats the situation with the Aguero challenge. Will there be retrospective action? How does it work.

Don't think so but I do believe the defender got a touch on the ball that made it deflect a bit, now it was going to go over but I still think it was a corner at least.

That is what Raz looked to be claiming also.
