5 yellows only gets you a ban up until around Christmas time, something like that. Afterwards, it's extended to 10 yellows (for obvious reasons, as it would be totally unfair for someone who has only got 5 yellows in 30/31 games to get a ban).J.A.M said:The Northamptonshire official has refereed 28 games so far this season in which he has shown 62 yellow cards and 5 reds.
Just been playing about on the players statistics league on the Barclays PL official home page,click on the yellow cards league table and it was not happy reading.

Good thing was
Mascherano on 9 so close to a 2 match ban
Lucas and Palacios on 8 so the same for them IF IM RIGHT please correct me if Im not.
