What I can't understand is why refs do absolute sweet fuck all about blatant time wasting. It's apparent to everybody that the goalie today was deliberately running down the clock and the ref just stands there as though he's on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square.

Bit harsh on the ref that, he clearly stood there pointing at his watch every time Leno took 3 days to do anything. Yeah, PiGMOL would tell us that the ref has to develop the right kind of 'dynamic' depending on the game, and we have seen some teams get away with 'red murder' compared to the straitjacket the same ref imposes on other teams. Another instance today where one of ours was clearly fouled and play on, and the entire row were in agreement that the next nudge on an oppo with much less force is judged a foul, and sure enough!Consistency is pretty much all we ask for.
