You have 66 posts in this thread, and he has 38. Which charity are you donating to fatbloke?

If that’s the case I will happily donate £10 to the British Heart Foundation, pm with your email address and I’ll send the proof when it’s done in the morning.

I agree completely that the goal should have stood, that’s clear. I’m just laying the blame for that one with the linesman rather than Mason.

Regardless, I’m less arsed about that. It’s frustrating that such a good goal was wrongly ruled out, but the dangerous challenges that are consistently not being punished properly are the bigger concern for me. Something needs to be done about this as a matter of priority. It’s laughable that players can retrospectively be punished for diving, but not endangering an opponent’s safety (if they were booked at the time). The whole system is completely flawed.
Agreed Ric...my worry is also that we will end up with a career ending challenge finally punished but that would be too late...Pep’s anger is totally understandable...wankers like Mason May well end up having blood on their hands,..they are meant to be in charge ffs

I can indeed confirm that he’s made this donation, fair play to him.

Our manager Pep is incensed at the intensity of potential leg breaking fouls our players are suffering recently and going unnoticed in the media. Full marks to Pep for going onto the pitch after the game and remonstrating with the officials. It seems to be open season for the opposition on crippling our players because they won't compete with us fairly.

Apparently these aren't worthy of red card

The ref's report will state the reason for the booking for the foul on Leroy, if this doesn't mention the high contact on his leg then why can't the FA charge the thug for endangering an opponent's safety with excessive force? If fairness to Mason he can't be expected to keep-up with play, when Leroy is running at full pace, so surely this would be anything against him. I think the same could be applied for all the challenges above. Pep is spot-on, there must be a change to protect the players the yellow card for a bad tackle is the same punishment for a minor infringement. Cardiff should have at least 5 yellow and one red but, because of the perception that poor old Cardiff were playing one of the best teams in Europe then they should be allowed extra leeway.

If Mason cant keep up then what is his linesman watching who is yards away and parallel with the tackle?

His eyesight seemed fine enough to rule out Bernado's goal.

And there was Nathan Blake and Lawrenson excusing this thuggery last night on MOTD as being part and parcel of Championship sides and we should basically man up.
For the first time ever watching City yestetfday, I was more concerned with the players safety than us actually scoring any more goals.

That tackle would never have happened had Mason signalled intent early doors as the ref in the rags game did on Friday. 20 seconds your in the book son i will not put up with that.

Any time I’ve read about match fixing and corrupt officiating, it has always been when referees have continuously given fifty fifty challenges a particular way, in order to influence the overall sway of the game.

It’s never on goal or red card decisions as that would be too obvious. I just saw rubbish refereeing today, that was it (to be honest, more rubbish from
the linesman, I do get how in real time, Mason might have missed the severity of the challenge on Sane).
IN that case it was too obvious because he disallowed a goal.

I think the players and management had the same view and that's why we backed off in the second half

Just watched the highlights back and the decisions that rag scum **** made yesterday are even worse when you see them in the cold light of day without the usual blue tinted specs view on match days.

Top teams should just play complete reserve sides in it to send a message to the FA that they won't take it seriously while this shit is going on. The FA would soon be doing something about it.

One of our players is going to get their leg broken. The time to bring this to a head is now, not when it is too late. Christ we would never hear the end of it if one of the media friendly teams players were suffering these assaults every few games. I hope beyond hope that the club tries to address this with the FA and the referee association. Either that or take a private prosecution out on one of the guilty. If someone had attacked Leroy like that on the street he would be banged up. It really takes any enjoyment out of the game.
