As with so many of the flaws in the game, the source of the majority of the frustrations and inconsistencies lies at the feet of the FA together with PIGMOL.

To be so reliant upon two organisations ( using the phrase very loosely ) is a national disgrace.
Please help this old tosser(me) out - ? PIGMOL ?

I'm tetchy today following what I witnessed from Mason and the bloody linesman yesterday, but to he honest am sick of the disgraceful decisions from referees which I regularly have to witness.

Influencing games ( in a negative and inept manner ) together with applying downright corrupt treatment ( favouring a number of teams ) is all too common and takes so much out of the general enjoyment.

Being beaten fairly and deservedly I can accept, but feeling as though performances have been ruined by the bloody officials is beyond the pail.

I fucking detest the FA and their bloody referees.

In answer to hampshireblue the only way it can be reviewed is if Lee Mason said that he did not have a good enough view of the tackle, and if he did he would have issued a red card instead of a yellow

Well he clearly didn't have a good view as he was at least 25-30 yards behind Sane. There is nothing wrong in that as Sane is so quick so there is no disgrace in not being able to keep up. He,therefore should be able to expect the lino to help him out in a situation like this-but he failed to do so,hence the yellow.

Also it does seem that Mason doesn't really talk to players regarding challenges. He just gives a look as he presents the card. Watch as he gives the 2nd yellow to the assailant as he just gives a shrug.

I'm a firm believer in clear and transparent accountability in governing bodies. Football "associations" clearly aren't. They are like secret societies. Old boys clubs.

They should be dismantled as not fit for purpose with elected officials instated in a democratic process. They are the recipients of our tax money.

Yea. That’s why I said ‘at the very best’. In real time it looked close though and because there was no way he or the linesman could definitely see he was offside then The Benefit Of The Doubt rule should have applied.

No two ways about it. A shocking performance at every turn and if as commentators have been saying, those kind of tackles are routine in The Championship then things need to change.

Yeah fair enough.

I can’t believe after consulting each other they came to that decision, it was pure guess work and they decided to give it Cardiff’s favour because of the score and who they were playing.

Both need sacking.

They needed to keep it a television spectacle otherwise the BBC would be upset. Who wants the underdog to be 2 nil down so early on ? and worse, who wants them to be 3-0 down with only 10 men on the pitch. It is called game management, the BBC have to think about the viewers and Mr Mason realised that. I think he should be applauded. It is like Strictly Come Dancing, you dont vote off the viewers favourite albeit shit dancer in the first week, this is the same thing.
