Referees/Officials 2017/18 performances

I think the marginal offsides etc probably do even themselves out over the course of the season. The far bigger concern is the amount of reckless, dangerous challenges on our players that aren’t being punished correctly. I can think of at least six this season and not a single red card has been issued.
That's because it's our players fault. Apparently they're too fast.

Lee “biggest twat in the world” Mason has got the Arsenal game tomorrow, let’s see what he allows to go on there. My moneys on a less corrupt performance than yesterday.

So the K.unt gets rewarded for an inept refereeing performance by another big game?! That Riley for you the biggest Wanker of them all.

It's getting harder and harder to watch us now. The vast majority of teams resort to 10 man defending and knocking lumps as soon as they get a chance.

When teams have a go they've given is food for thought. Granted, if we click they'll get battered, but they'll never win playing the shite they do.

Bristol had a go, fair play to them.

Shit like Newcastle showed should be called out in the media for what it is. A fucking debacle.

Geordies who travelled should have got a refund.

Mate in both incidents a linesman is not needed at all. A ref is able to decide those incidents on his own very easily.

Bernardo's goal was about interference and only Mason could possibly see that, not the Linesman (who even failed about offside!).
For anybody with a sense for football and a bit of experience it was very clear that there is no point to discuss, as no keeper in the world would have been able to save that ball even if no other player was in the box. That's twisting rules and killing the game itself.
(Btw, would it be possible such a goal was disallowed for the rags? Just imagine...)

Leroy was kicked about by that useless bastard with a clear intention, to kill the chance.
Taking a player out from behind at pace in that position without a chance to play the ball must be without any doubt
a straight red NO MATTER if they player is injured by that foul or not. There is no space left for any interpretation.
FIFA rules should stand in England too.

So what's the official stance of the FA about scenes like that? What is their philosophy? Is that what they want? I cannot find anything.
What's the official stance of the ref's association?
How did Mason talk about the scenes post match??
Refs need to justify such decisions in post match interviews. Like e.g. in Germany.
Refs are allowed to make mistakes. But what Mason did is unthinkable for a ref in the biggest league wordwide.
He did not conduct the match as a neutral instance. In no way.

I cannot see any quality management in English refereeing. It's only based on the power of authority.
This is generally quite a bad starting point talking about change for the purpose of higher quality.
Excellent post mate......

Absolutely i believe it.

One reason that game got picked for tv yesterday and it wasnt so the nation could watch us win. It was picked in the hope of an upset as that's the story, nothing else and Mason did his best to accommodate.

Trouble for them all right now is we really are that good that we can beat 12 men.
I’m not denying the BBC picked the game thinking there might be an upset but it’s a bit of a stretch that Mason disallowed the Sane goal to ‘keep it interesting’.
Mind you, if they hadn’t picked City for the tv, the agenda thread would have gone into overtime!

Or...of course the fatty baldy one is the epitome of strictness...to try and claw back his tarnished reputation....and to make sure that the Tarquins don’t threaten his beloved rags.......let’s see...

2 things need sorting out. Firstly spitting should not lead to a greater ban than a foul that is late, deliberate and leads to serious injury. Secondly it cannot be right yellow cards can’t be retrospectively changed to red. The game is fast these days I get that refs miss things but they can be put right.

Thinking about it, yesterday aside, have we had a red card against us since mane? I’m willing to bet the furor over that red has led to the referees not wanting to be Hauled over the coals like moss was even thiugh he was right.

It’s the one rule which needs changing the yellow card to red,but it suits the fa at times as we have had players done even after receiving a yellow card ...
