Refusal to pay energy bills

Is this a viable option? If enough people simply said we are not going to pay would this force a retreat from the energy companies. The cost is a complete runaway train that is only going to get worse over the next 6 months.



That sums it up, 7 billion in profit. Between April and June alone, one company. This is storm the Bastille let them eat cake stuff.

So would it work, would a mass refusal to pay the gigantic bills be possible?

Truth is, with all the problems in services, if many did this then we wouldnt have the capacity to cope with the legal ramifications. Then, when you factor in all those that rent and who owns the responsibility to pay, it turns into a nightmare.

What is the reasoning to not let these ridiculous profits have a windfall tax ?
