Reina for Bravo?

If we are going to be getting a decent 2nd keeper that fits into Pep's system (and has experence of playing in the PL). The only good options are Hugo Lloris and Kasper Schmeichel, sure in the case in the former he would cost an abolsolute fortune and in the case of the latter he did not exactly leave with happy memories. But due to the qualities they have and the experence they have in the PL, City would be better off buying either of those players rather than take a risk with Reina.

I can see where you're coming from with Lloris, although his sweeper keeper abilities are more anticipation than ball skills but Kasper? What are you basing that on mate, all I ever see Kasper do is boot it long and hope for the best.

We have both our keepers already

Firstly because he is actually a rather good GK, secondly because he has experence in playing in the PL and thirdly he is Homegrown. Considering the options for sweeper keepers out there, if obtinaing Lloris is not possible then Kasper (while not perfect) is the next best opition.

How do any of them things make him fit Pep's system?

Surely Joe Hart, who we already have on the books and is better all round would be the next best option..

If it was for the ones you mention, Pep would have kept Hart. Simple as that. But he wants goalkeepers that suit his style i.e. make his team play better. Hart won't do that (unfortunately, but true), nor will Lloris or Schmeichel. Bravo can, but he needs to shore up his shotstopping quality to that what is required by the many City-fans despite that not being the main issue for a disappointed campain last year. If Ederson can is yet to be seen. But let's hope he does.

Ederson maybe (although I would rather wait and see before making a proper judgement on him), but with Bravo (considering his record over the last season oer so) he is simply not good enough to be a 2nd GK for this club. Maybe I am being harsh on him to be fair but when it comes to deciding which players deserve to be in the final squad* you do need to be harsh. Especially if you want to make progress on the field.

*What with the various limitations on both overall numbersthe quotas which are in placed for "Foreign Players"

Surely Joe Hart, who we already have on the books and is better all round would be the next best option..

Would you consider Hart to have better sweeper skills than Schmeichel though? I am just asking for your opinion on that, that is all.

How exactly does Bravo fit into Pep's system more than lets say Lloris? Because the way I see it, you cannot just be the 11th outfield player, you also have to actually be a goalkeeper as well*. This is the issue I have with Bravo and until he addresses the the second task he needs to do as a City GK, I don't see him as someone who should be in this squad over lets say Lloris or Schmeichel.

*In fact I rate this more highly than the first point, because there is no point taking on tasks (outside your main role) when you can even do the basics properly. Especially if you are a goalkeeper.

Well it depends on what you rate more out of a Goalkeeper in Pep's team. If you rate being the 11th outfield player more than saving goals then I suppose Bravo is better than Schmeichel in this reguard (although not Lloris). If on the other hand you rate saving goals more than being the 11th outfield player (which is how look at things) then Schmeichel is better than Bravo.

Long story short, I prefer Schmeichel because he is good at saving goals and better than most at being a sweeper keeper wherehas Bravo is not very good (or at least not good enough) at saving goals and is rather good as a sweeper keeper.
