Remembering Mike Doyle On His Birthday 25/11/1946

As my username shows, my favourite player. Weirdly reminds me of Bernardo Silva. Commitment to City.

Mike Doyle alongside Dave Watson: it's a wonder we ever conceded a goal!

I made the trip to Wrexham solely to watch his England debut. For me, as Colin will always be The King, Doyle will always be Mr. Manchester City.
And Donachie at LB.
Shame our RB's were not of the same standard at that time (Kenny Clements, nice lad mediocre player).

Yes, Donachie was superb, but you'll have to wait and post on his birthday!

Doyle - fighting with Brian Kidd in 1968. Walking off Old Trafford through a hoard of the great unwashed scum, scrambling to get out of his way in 1974. Hard as fuckin' nails and loved City.

We could fucking well do with the pair of them now...
Doyle’s toughness would do wonders at the mo, just what we need.
He hated the rags almost as much as he loved City.
I first saw him in the Youth cup semi at the swamp. He set about them in no uncertain manner.
