Remembering the Inflatable Banana craze / Stoke Boxing Day fancy dress party

The police commander on the day wrote to the club or the Evening News, I think, to commend the City supporters on their behaviour.
he might not have done if he saw what happened at Euston when I think it was Birmingham fans turned up

Now, correct me if I'm wrong.

Wasn't there a book published around the time called something like "City - the untold story of a team that went bananas"??

Does anyone have a copy of said book??

Or have I dreamt this

One for the 1894 group.....let’s plan a fancy dress revisited this Boxing Day (or nearest to Boxing Day) at home. Would bring some much needed laughter!

Didn’t Kevin Cummings ( photographer) get thrown off the pitch whilst taking photographs of bananas.
Could have been Palace Birmingham or Forest, memory is going
He had his camera taken off him at Birmingham by either stewards or police. An appeal for witnesses went out in Blue Print but cant recall the outcome.

I remember the Birmingham away match( late 80s) with KC being ' escorted' away by police I think.i was shocked at the time as I thought it was down to trouble, didn't realise it was to do wifh him taking photos.
Away days were crazy in those days ,anything could happen, and often did....
