It isn't though is it? it's a temporary solution while Joe goes off to learn his trade, gain experience and hopefully get in the England squad. Then he will come back even better.

I can understand wanting some experience for the understudy, but for me Kasper would do just fine. Plus didnt we sign another keeper Gunnar Nielson or something? If we keep buying keepers, it undermines the ones we already have. Given was a sound purchase but let Kasper deputize for the time being and let Joe go out on loan.
