Great post.

Edin Dzeko had an excellent game tonight. I never knew he was THAT good with his feet.

City has never used his full potential, and i'm not sure that is going to happen... Greece defenders are brutal... but he was playing with them...

I watched Bosnia - Greece and that performance was far from excellent. The greek defense was solid though. Dzeko never looked threatening. Had one good shot though.

Dzeko's shown intermittent sparks of what he can do with his feet. His objective isn't to do slalom runs; it's to evade a defender for space. The best target man in the world by far...

Edit: Ok maybe the latter sentence is exaggerated. Should his performances reflect his ability, he would then be the best.

Dzeko was simply outstanding tonight. He was at leas two times better than any other player on the pitch. Did not lose a single ball, was running like a rabbit. U can see how much he improved his strength, pace and all other physical abilities, since he is at Man City. I believe that he'll do well in the coming season.

Excellent by Dzeko's standards since his arrival to City.

Bosnia played without 8 starters, Edin's partner in attack was fourth Bosnian striker. How many balls/duels did he lost? Not a single one.

Greek defense is always solid, that's only they can do.... DEFEND.

Yaya Toure and David Silva are creative powerhouses, no surprises there.

Although, an insight into Savic's aerial prominence is interesting. Had him down as the purely technical defender.

Mario Balotelli did impress. His finishing let him down at times though. He defeated his defender every time he had the ball. We're talking about the eminent spanish defenders here.... Had he been on full time, he would've gave a world class performance.

Greece is the ultimate proof that FIFA's formula is a joke, can't believe that these clowns are so highly placed there.

They played the only way they could against this "very B" Bosnian side (6-7 benchwarmers played tonight), and yet they had to keep making those little, dirty "tactical" fouls to keep it 0:0.

Dzeko was really excellent, great ball control tonight. Overall, I was surprised how calm and mature Bosnia's performance was, given the circumstances, the possession ratio was something like 61:39 in the end...

Greece is fucking disgrace...

Dzeko is the best current footballer I've seen to hold up play and get free of 2+ defenders when he receives the ball. Definitely world class in those terms.

If he can bring consistenly good performances to the rest of his play, he will be immense. If not, he'll be a fit and more gifted Santa Cruz.
