For a special meal OP, try Australasia. It's very nice but not cheap.

I spent £75 on a brasserie but we only had the room for half an hour.
 
I agree with those suggesting Smoak.

Excellent food and brilliant rooms. They also offer upgrades on the day of arrival if any of their suites are available, to which we took the Corner Suite.

Brilliant night, and she got rinsed all over that suite.

If you just want a meal though, then any of these: -

Chinese: The Rice Bowl
Thai: Chaophraya or Try Thai
Italian: San Carlo
