Right to me it seeems quite obvious Pellegrini is under orders to put CL above everything else so is resting Aquero when we have a big game coming up, i just dont see why he cant play him and give him a day off training instead to rest then, is there any physio-fitness types on here who can explain how the recovery works and why it might not work like that ?
this isn't a pop at anyone at the club or a moan just a genuine question

Not an expert but 1 match isn't equal to 1 training session in terms of what it takes out of the body.

Because the modern footballer is a pampered species. A good nights sleep should be more than enough and in some of our players cases a 10 minute nap should do it.

the reason they are so pampered is because if the other team does everything they can to rest players so they're 100% then they'll have the advantage.

Bayerns team today

Neuer - Rafinha, Boateng, Dante, Alaba - Lahm – Robben (Shaqiri 62), Müller, Schweinsteiger (Kroos 62), Ribery – Mandzukic (Kirchhoff 86)

So theoretically we should now have the advantage.

Aye but Aguero has history, so if he gets a knock or isn't quite right, why not rest him. Or would you rather risk
further damage.
