Restoring a leather suite

My brown leather living room settees are 15 years old and are showing it. I've look online for leather restorer and there are a number of products, some cheap, some not
Has anyone had a go at doing their own and did you get a poor, good or excellent finish?
And what product did you use?

My Dad refurbished ours years ago by chucking a piece of burning coal on it and phoning the insurance company.

With my parents being swingers they went through a lot of leather sofas. Apparently "cream" ruins it. Best getting another or using our learned Canadian friends idea.

Natural leather cream will cheer them up. Just wipe it in.

If you want to do a full monty job then get a cleaner andthen a cream/balsam. The balsam on it's own though will give good results.

To save your bollox, always test it on an out of sight area of the couch.
