It's barm so STFU.
They describe this as a test event, which implies they are testing it as the model going forward.
Not really, it's mainly to do with getting a measure of how transmissible the virus is in stadiums and also researching how stadium design can be adjusted to minimise that.

This is from the official pdf that can be downloaded from City's ticket info.

Airborne Infection Reduction through Building Operation and Design for SARS-CoV-2 (AIRBODS)
AIRBODS is a joint research programme between Loughborough University, University College London, the University of Cambridge, the University of Nottingham, the University of Sheffield and London South Bank University. AIRBODS is a UKRI-funded project which aims to quantify the risk of transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in buildings, and thereby offer guidance on the ventilation operation and future design of non-domestic buildings.
The team’s role in the Events Research Programme is to collect environmental data around the venue. We will do this by monitoring indoor air quality (measuring and recording CO2 levels, air temperature and relative humidity - moisture content) in the air at different locations around the venue, and relating this to the number of people present and microbiological analysis of surfaces around the venue. This data will be used to determine a Relative Exposure Index. This is not an absolute measure of the risk of transmission, but a measure of exposure relative to a benchmark case.

Can you make your own way via train? Not seen anywhere that you can't. No way from Piccadilly back to Macc after the game. No mention of any stops en route?

No, only by the official chartered trains by the club. Needs to be selected with ticket purchase.

When you buy the ticket you have to choose special train, coach or car as your means of travel. I suppose you could say you're going by car but get the service train down, not sure how they'd know differently?

Think City have done that as fairly as possible and done all they can, it's not them putting in all these rules. I had no intention whatsoever of going but the pricing is a complete farce. It shows they really dont give a shit about fans despite this year long insistence it's all about the fans etc etc. It's all about the money and the very first chance they've got under a pilot testing scheme they've shown their true face by charging those prices.

The world's on its arse, its debatable whether the tickets should be free but certainly no more than a £5-10 cover charge yet they've basically gone with the same prices as the final last year which is a complete disgrace.

This would be the perfect time for fans and fan groups to make a stand here, have fan groups, supporters clubs, people of influence from both clubs bound together and refuse to buy tickets at those prices, it's the easiest it will ever be to do that and it would certainly send a powerful message, they need fans more than ever and we won't take being ripped off anymore but sadly that's never going to happen and we will gladly go back to letting them price fans out of the game.

The LFTs are not done in some sub-regions by testing centres, e.g. it gave Lancaster postcodes, they would have to travel Blackpool where the testing site closes at 3.45pm so not within 24 hours.

Then going down the m6/61 the next one is next to BWFC closes 1230 on Sat. I have found ones open to 8pm on Sat but there are not 1,750 slots and they are supposed to be for essential working and fill in your employer details.

It is like the French customs for Japanese videos in the 80s.
