Return of Supporters

If you haven't had the two jabs come the Carabao Cup final then forget it.

That's one of the markers being proposed to the ruling bodies.

It means the average age will be on the high side!
That's a nonsense if true - hardly anyone would be turning up. With a 12 week gap between vaccinations only NHS/key workers, care home residents and staff, the extremely vulnerable, over 80s and most over 70s would have had two jabs by then. What percentage of those would be City or Spurs supporters and many in those groups would either be working or incapable/unwilling to travel.

I could possibly transmit it to somebody else, whether it be my own family or take it somewhere else. My kids won't have had the jab yet, either - why would I take the risk with them travelling, as I was responding to in this thread.

People making the pandemic a personal issue are missing the point, it HAS to be a collective effort. The more people who don't take up the jab, the longer this will last.

Exactly. I had my first jab last Friday so probably won't get the 2nd one before the LC Final anyway. Even after the 2nd jab , it's still possible (as far as we know) that I could catch Covid. In which case I could pass it on to my wife, who is a few years younger than me and therefore further back in the queue for vaccination. Until we've both had our 2 jabs I won't be going into crowds of any size, even socially distanced. Looks like next season for me, and many others I would guess.

Or full of Frontline NHS Workers like myself
Perhaps key workers who are City fans (not just NHS) and have had both jabs should get the tickets at a heavily discounted rate. That would be a great gesture from the authorities/broadcasters/clubs. The whole idea is for the match to be a safety test event in any event. I am keen to attend but have no chance of two jabs by April. It would soften the blow for me if I knew they had gone to a good cause (ie not corporates).

well they might as well, use us ( nhs ,and other key workers ) as guinea pigs again,to see what transpires.

35,000 if true then maybe 12,000 each team as long as you have had both jabs leaving 12,000 for VIP & corporate bullshit

All 36,000 spread around the ground seems fair

I think that's what recently happened at the Super Bowl?

There were 20,000 hospital and front line workers handed free tickets.

A great gesture.

It was actually 25,000 supporters in total, with 7,500 given away free to vaccinated health care heroes Tolm which as you said was a fantastic gesture of behalf of the NFL....

Perhaps our owner should step in and offer to pay for both teams' key worker fans or would it be considered "sportwashing." I really think for the football industry to make a gesture like this would be superb. I am not holding my breath though.
